12-588 HACK INSTRUCTIONS

You can refer to the picture while following the steps below

1. Place radio back up with battery compartment closest to you.

2. Remove 5 screws from back of radio.

3. Remove back cover carefully and flip it to the right taking care not to accidentally break the battery wire connection.

4. Carefully flip the top circuit board up and away from you toward the top of the radio exposing the bottom board.

5. See the two sets of grey ribbon wire that connect the top and bottom circuit boards.

6. Go to the set of wires on the right side, see the words printed at the end of the wires on the bottom circuit board, second word from the right side should say �MUTE�

7. Snip the grey wire that leads to the word �MUTE� on the circuit board, remove a small section of wire to prevent accidental connection of the two ends after reassembling the radio.

8. Replace the top circuit board into it�s position, make sure it is seated correctly.

9. Be aware of any selector buttons that may have fallen out of their slot and replace them if necessary.

10. Replace back cover and screws.
